CAUTION:

Do not touch the black-plastic belt. Skin oils and fingerprints on the belt can cause print-quality problems. Always place the ITB on a flat surface in a safe and protected location.

The ITB is a mandatory CSR part. Click the Play arrow to see how to replace a ITB.

  1. Open the right-door assembly.
  2. Use the blue lever to lower the secondary transfer assembly.
  3. Grasp the small handles on the ITB and then pull the ITB out of the product until two large handles expand along the right- and left-side of the ITB.
  4. Grasp the large handles on the ITB and then pull the ITB straight out of the product to remove it.

CAUTION: The ITB is a sensitive assembly. Be careful when handling the ITB so that it is not damaged. Always place the ITB in a safe and protected location.

Reinstallation tip: If installing a new  ITB, remove the packing tape and protective cover sheet.

  5. Discard or recycle the old ITB, following the instructions provided with the replacement unit.
  6. Unpack the replacement ITB.
  7. Insert the replacement ITB beneath the fuser, and push it in until it latches into place.
  8. The ITB kit includes a secondary transfer roller. Follow the steps to repalce the roller, and then close the transfer access panel.
  9. Close the right door.
