  1. Turn off the product.
  2. Open the left door by pressing down on the handle at the top of the door and pulling it outward.
  3. Remove the ink collection unit by using the green hand-grip to pull it out of the product.

    NOTE: When removing the ink collection unit, avoid making direct contact with the black cylinder to prevent ink smear on skin or clothes. Keep the ink collection unit level to avoid spilling any waste ink.


    Do not let the bottom of the ink collection unit touch or rest on the ribs on the left door. Doing so can cause damage to the ribs and to media, and can also cause jams.

  4. Reinstall the ink collection unit by reversing the process. When pushing the unit into the product, an audible “click” will indicate it is seated correctly.
  5. Close the door left door.
  6. Turn on the product.
